Bioterrorism Preparedness & Response Planning

The Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG) and Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Region 7 have been partners with a focus on aiding rural counties in planning for a bioterrorism event or other public health emergency since September 2002. Some of the activities that have been completed and are still on going include county public health response plans, assessments, volunteer recruitment and identification of special needs populations in each county. For more information on the Bioterrorism Planning Program, please contact Rebecca Hill at (979) 595-2800 or rhhill@bvcog.org.
