FAMILY SELF SUFFICIENCY (FSS)

Have you ever dreamed of continuing your education but money is so tight and you don’t know where to start?  The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) is for you!  FSS provides individual assistance with establishing and achieving your goals, referrals with community agencies, which offer programs in money management, employability and homeownership training. FSS establishes a savings account while you're getting trained or attending other educational facility, once the household income increases due to employment.  You must be an active participant on the Housing Choice Voucher Program to qualify.  Go ahead, get ahead…We’ll help!

The Family Self-Sufficiency program is designed to enable you to achieve economic independence and be self-sufficient.  The purpose of the program is to assist you in obtaining education, employment, business and social skills necessary to achieve self-sufficiency.
