The Information and Referral/Assistance Program Provides information to inquirer about the enormous range of human services available in the Area Agency's seven county service area. Information and referral services (I&R) respond to callers requesting information and assistance.
The nature of calls range from very simple calls such as a caller requesting for a telephone number to more complex needs such as an elderly person needing assistance with utility or prescription expenses.
The role of IR&A is to provide the caller with information and a referral to the most appropriate resources. BVAAA staff advocate for services on behalf of senior citizens when the need is indicated. |
